WINNER "Dreamer" by Anya
Remembering that vivid creativity of childhood.

HIGHLY COMMENDED "Childish" by Ivy and Luciana
This work is a collaboration piece that aims to reflect the childhood nostalgia and joy that art brings into our lives. In addition to this we painted each other, aiming to represent how we see the other, then added colourful details to express how art brings in whimsy and creativity everyday.

"Fuji-San Ichi Ban" by Josie Bowen
Fuji-San Ichi Ban means Mt Fiji is number one. I went to Japan last year and love everything about it, especially Mt Fuji. I want to go back and see the cherry blossoms.

"Swimming Through" by Coal Cluff
My work is about pushing through when you’re in a situation and you feel that you're stuck.

"Ela-Rose" by Helena Sypka
I wanted to create a calming piece that recalled memories of mine and others. Symbolic of real losses my family has gone through (such as family members and pets ). It shows fragility and reminds us that our future and our past are deserving of reflection and mindfulness.

"Kaleidoscope Blue Mountains" by Will, Zali, Tara, Olivia, Jack, Abbey and Ella
The vision behind the work is one of linking the interior to the exterior world. The office boxes represent urban spaces, human residence and organisations, and they are opening out into the exterior world of the Blue Mountains World Heritage area. It is about the connections between these worlds as well as our own personal experiences of interior (thoughts feelings experiences and the exterior natural environment and how these are interdependent and relational. At the Glenbrook Centre we created a collaborative mixed media artwork, involving all students in some way. The art work can be assembled in different ways. Students at the Glenbrook Centre are going through mental health issues so we are often exploring the psychological, social and spiritual aspects of human beings in the environment. We are not separate from the environment.

"Finding my Joy" by Riley Barenyi
Art helps me find my real self and is a break from all my other stuff.

"Trapped" by Striker
I drew this to regulate myself when having a panic attack on the ward.

"Sweater Weather" by Evelyn Cole
I’ve grown up in the Blue Mountains (Dharug and Gundungurra Country) and have been creating art since I was five years old. My inspiration comes from nature, animals, and imaginative characters. I enjoy working across different mediums, from sketching to using markers to add depth and detail to my work. Art has always been my way of exploring and expressing creativity.
