LITERATURE - Terms and Conditions

Entry into the Blue Fringe Art and Literature Festival is open to adults 18 years and over with a lived experience of mental health, and young people of high school age in celebration of mental wellbeing and resilience.

Entries open 29th July and Close 25th Aug

TERMS AND CONDITIONS -

  • All Literature entries are to use the online form.

  • You can submit up to one entry in each category for your age group.

  • One complete entry form must be submitted for each entry.

  • Poetry entries are limited to no more than 350 words. 

  • Short Story entries are limited to no more than 1000 words. 

  • Entries must be submitted as a PDF or Word document. 

  • Entries will be reformatted with a standard typeface and layout for judging and publishing.  Every effort will be made to retain original structure and spacing of the text. 

  • If a visual representation of a literature work is entered, this may be featured in the exhibition, but will not be used for judging to ensure the words are considered in their own right.

  • Literature is judged anonymously.

  • Literature will be included in the Collected Works Book at the discretion of the committee.

  • Entrants will receive a copy of the Collected Works Book.

  • Limited copies of the book may be for sale during the exhibition.

  • Literature may be used in future Blue Fringe promotional material.

  • All personal information provided with your entry will be kept private and confidential, with the exception of the name you nominate for publishing with your work.
