WINNER YOUTH ART "Blue" by The Magic One
Drowning in one's own thoughts and emotions, isn't fun.

HIGHLY COMMENDED YOUTH ART "Raw" by Alva emba
I am a young artist who enjoys art in all its forms and uses painting and drawing to pour all emotions and feeling into my art. I aim to capture emotions that can't be spoken in words, I hope my work encourages viewers to understand and see the feeling In my art and relate to the things that they feel at their most unguarded moments. I also hope it gives them the same joy as me to see others art works and wonder what their journey was to create their art and all the hidden meanings in each stroke.

"Deaths Head Hawkmoth" by Ash Huxham
I love the repetitive and mindful process of creating lino prints. Each scrape is so satisfying and the effect it can have in the final artwork, the stark and dramatic colours, tie it all together to be a very enjoyable process.

"Celestia the Unicorn in the Stars" by Winter Malone
Celestia finds a magical place which seems like space, with stars everywhere they are like her loved ones which have passed on, and she holds the one most special star to her which is someone who was important to her.

"A Mindset Waterfall" by Abbey Kerry
This is a representation of my mind when I feel relaxed and peaceful. It is showing how the river of my tears can turn beautiful.

"Self Portrait in a Year and a Day" by James Pollack
This self portrait represents the biggest year of my life which was mostly spent in and out of hospital. It shows my strength of getting through the ups and downs of such a chaotic year.

"Feelings" by Evelyn Mitchell
Thoughts are amazing but can also capture a person and darken their own perspective of themselves.

"Confessions of a 9th Grade Suicidal" by JK
Blue Fringe is a huge milestone for me. I quite frequently fail to express my feelings verbally; but my art allows me to speak. This piece is about the outward mask concealing feelings, contrasted against the hidden reality of being bedridden and suicidal. It’s a plea for true empathy instead of the pity or judgement of all the “mental health matters” fake people. I want people to understand this viewpoint, see the reality behind the mask and not turn the other way in fear. But ultimately I want people to learn to value creative expression as much as I have.

"Umina Beach Sunrise" by Zenn Torrance-Jenkins
Through layered washes of colour, this watercolour captures a quiet moment where light, sky, and water merge, inviting a personal sense of place and reflection.

"Nova Bug" by Lucinda
Nova is my daughter and i hope everyone loves her as much as i do. Pls be nice to her.

"Taking Off" by Maggie Watts-Gadd
This artwork is called 'Taking off'. It represents the similarity between dragons and myself. I often think that dragons are a representation of my autism. Dragons don’t need to think about not talking too much or asking the wrong questions or such small things that most of you would find very simple but for me and other autistic people it is incredibly hard to remember. I love dragons, wolves, and dogs. I am currently training my own Assistance Dog because unfortunately you can’t have an Assistance Wolf or an Assistance Dragon. Yet!

"Untitled Portrait in Hues" by Helena Sypka
I chose to create my artwork in oil pastel with the hope to showcase my interest in emotions and colouration while also branching out of my comfort zone. I aimed to create a piece with an open mind and free style that weaved colours and textures in a way I feel emulates what we might not notice or appreciate in our everyday lives.

"Rosie the Cat" by Tadhg Hardgrove
I made this painting when I was 13 for visual arts in high school. It is of my sister's cat Rosalina.

"Disassociation " by ARK
This piece was inspired by my struggles with identity. I struggle with multiple parts of self, disassociation and gender dysphoria, making my sense of self often warped or foggy. Paint helps clear the mist.

"Growing Together" by Katoomba High School - Farm it Forward Students: Olga, Elvan, Gryffin, Maia, Bronte, Tilda, Willow, Lily, Ray, Milo, Jane, Kai, Mei, James, and Asher
This collaborative artwork was created by students in Katoomba High School's Farm it Forward wellbeing program. Using monotype printing with water-based block printing ink and botanical materials on paper, students transformed plants they had grown in the school polytunnel greenhouse into unique botanical impressions. Together, the individual prints form one collective artwork, symbolising that every contribution matters and wellbeing grows through connection. Farm it Forward nurtures creativity, belonging and care for nature, reminding us that communities flourish when individuals are supported to grow side by side.

"Riding the Sunset" by Tord Watson
I look after horses once a week and they are amazing.
