WINNER ADULT SCULPTURE "Musica sanatorium animam fractum" by Karen Stevenson
'Music heals the broken soul'.When someone robs you of the music in your soul, you can feel broken. When your broken soul is left in limbo, you must find other ways to repair it, or simply wait for the music to return to complete the healing.

HIGHLY COMMENDED "Escape" by Samantha Couzin
Everyone needs a safe place to escape to.

"The Art of Science and Emotions" by Alison Rose
The Art of Science and Emotions is inspired by the blank-faced Japanese Sarubobo dolls that allow all emotions to be present and Victorian medical teaching models for exploration. Viewers are invited to select a facial expression, then choose a colour and texture that best represents that emotion to them and place them on the model. Rather than assigning fixed meanings, the work acknowledges that emotional experiences are deeply personal—what feels soft, rough, bright, or dark and where they are felt in the body differs for everyone. Through play and reflection, this work encourages curiosity about our emotional lives.

"Woodcut 1" by Robert Butler
Wood carving was one of Robert's many skills.

"Janus" by Willabel Grindley Bennett
Named for the Roman God, Janus fuses red and white clay into a single form, the two merged as one, yet each retaining its own character where they meet. This physical union mirrors an internal one: the pull between conflicting thoughts, competing instincts, the self that looks forward and the self that looks back. Janus asks the viewer to sit with contradiction rather than smooth it over to consider that opposing feelings can occupy the same body, the same moment, without judgement.

"My Dad" by Mr Miyagi
My dad. I've made many things For my dad
As a gift. I was fifteen
when I made this. I made him clocks, and lamps,
And a full rocking chair,
All kept in his room. Growing old, He spent his time there. A man of good thoughts, With not much said. He worked with his hands All his life, Until he was dead.

"The Golden Garuda Dove by Sally D’Souza
I combine the dove (representing peace and calm) with the Garuda (symbolizing wisdom, protection, and overcoming suffering) to illustrate a journey of healing. The artwork's golden, mythical bird represents the "burning away of impurities" and highlights the intersection of gentle recovery and powerful, inner transformation.

"Nature Goddess" by Ivy Grant

"Consumption" by Callie Andrews
I transformed discarded materials into reflections on contemporary life. This work is created entirely from an online delivery: the shipping box forms the base, protective packaging is painted red, and newspaper with QR codes and fast food references becomes the collage. The red symbolises our shared humanity. Together, these materials question the culture of endless online consumption and convenience, inviting reflection on its impact on mental health, human connection, and our relationship with the physical world through creativity and reuse.

"Une Montgolfière" by Livonne Larkins
I often have dreams of flying. Sometimes in planes, sometimes I'm just floating, but it's often in an air balloon. The silence when I'm above the fields below is what I always notice most in my dreams. Silence from a world that always seems to want something from me. It's pure bliss.

"A Sea Odyssey Box" by Monique Donaldson
This box contains a varied collection of sea themed, paper weight statues, hair clips, fridge magnets and necklaces. I had fun spending many hours making, baking and varnishing all the pieces. It contains, hermit crabs, crustaceans, varieties of fish, turtles, sea snails, mermaid and jellyfish.

"The Lily Pond" by Thaïs Turner
Frogs and waterlilies are favourites, combined here in mosaic wonder on all sides of a vase, during a week of learning how to craft mosaics at Camp Creative in Bellingen many years ago.
