WINNER ADULT PHOTOGRAPHY "Lifted By Chance" by Sarah Griffiths
A cockatoo passes through the frame by chance, becoming a quiet symbol of how moments of uplift often appear unexpectedly. Its rise into the light reflects the small, unplanned steps that support recovery — gentle reminders that hope can arrive even when we’re not looking for it.

HIGHLY COMMENDED ADULT PHOTOGRAPHY "Ensconced" by Ivy Grant
There is something very pleasing in closing a heavy hotel room door and shutting yourself into a non descript little box for the night.

"Sweet dreams my gorgeous girl" by zedcue
Echo entered my life 14 years ago at one of my darkest moments. I was broken, depressed and lost when she arrived as a young dog seeking a new home. I tried to find her that place, believing I couldn’t possibly give it to her myself. But it was love at first sight. In July 2026, she died, aged 17, having found her home with me. She arrived when I most needed her. She loved me unconditionally. She brought me back from the abyss. Sweet dreams, my gorgeous girl.

"Change Here" by Robert Butler
Robert took photographs which documented family life, including holiday travel without a car. He developed his own films in the laundry he converted to a darkroom.

"Petals 2" by Kel Torrance
The layered petals become a visual metaphor for the human mind…soft yet complex, beautiful yet fragile, protective yet vulnerable. Each curve suggests the hidden depths people carry within themselves, especially in moments when mental health struggles remain unseen beneath the surface.

"A Complete Unknown" by Mr Miyagi
A complete unknown
Lying prone,
Woolly dome,
Hair lies loose,
Where's the comb?
Gone is
The strife
The hurry
The phone
You misunderstood
I was never at home.
The still,
the quiet,
the soft,
the gentle tone.
Long may we rest,
A complete unknown.

"My grandmother changed the world" by Erin McCoy
With family, a bible, a garden, a hobby, a community and a cup of tea my grandmother could change someone’s world. She taught me how to change it too. How to create the kind of ripple that heals the world,

"Storm Front" by David John Payne
Taken at Maroubra Beach Heads before I ran away.

"Renewal" by Leonarda
'Renewal' was taken on the Narrow Neck Plateau in Katoomba, following the horrendous 2019-20
bushfires. The profusion of soft and delicate Pink Flannel Flowers against the charcoal-black burnt
Banksias symbolises renewal after adversity and trauma. Like humans, plants and landscapes can
experience trauma, but have the capacity to bounce back and thrive.

"A Window of Light" by Renata
There can be beauty, light, and peace, even with the cracks and fractures.

"Sunrise Where I Stand" by Kerin Pollack

"Blue Fringe of Feathers" by Susan Wildman
After a near death experience in hospital and feeling a little low, I went for a walk and heard a rustling sound in a tree above me. So beautiful, this Sacred Kingfisher sat, poised on branch, slowly eating his meal. He didn't move. Sat there for quite a while and allowed me to come close. Close enough to take this picture. Then we just sat, me beneath the tree and him above me. A silent communion.

"Exultate, Jubilate" by Bethany Evans
This is the definitive image encapsulating my recent - and first ever - overseas trip. It was a moment of disbelief that I had made the trip at all, and a deep joy and gratitude that I was there, in that moment, looking up at the extraordinary height of these gorgeous trees. An utter incredulity that I had made it, I did it all alone, and that I was so privileged to have that experience at all.

"The Morning Adoration" by M Maddock
Adoration comes in many forms, this particular Incarnation happens to be Feline.

"Above Fields of Gold" by Livonne Larkins
The wind carried her high. Above the fields of gold. She breathed in the peace and serenity. If this was just a dream, she didn't want to wake from it.

"Wistful" by Sam Jenkins
This photograph explores the quiet beauty of impermanence through a close study of nature. By isolating a pair of weathered leaves against a soft, blurred background, I wanted to draw attention to the delicate textures, subtle light, and fleeting moments that often go unnoticed. The image invites viewers to slow down and reflect on the resilience and transience found in the natural world.

"Vancouver Forest" by Ellie

"Lightsurfing & Moondance = Music of the Night" by Thaïs Turner
This Music of the Night compilation includes Leonay & Penrith from Elizabeth Lkt / Emu Plains from Marges Lkt / GWH at Valley Heights. Photos from June & July 2026, taken on a Canon Powershot D20 compact camera.
There is no limit to the patterns I can make, with each one being unique. It’s fun to see how they turn out.

"From a different point of view" by Rose Fitz-Patrick
Mum was driving me home and I yelled out to stop as there was a turtle on the road. A friend and I went and picked it up. And I looked after it till Wires came. Turtle climbed out of my sink to enjoy the view. Now relocated at the Gully in Katoomba.

"Oakey Park on a Winter Morning" by Jennifer Burrell

"It's a Jungle Out There" by Selena Perry
Taken at night, this cityscape reflects my feelings about the rapid growth and development of our urban environments. The lights and towering structures can appear impressive, yet they also raise questions about what we have lost in the process.
Amid the concrete, glass and endless expansion, I wonder where nature belongs. Perhaps the wild spaces we push aside are not obstacles to progress, but essential parts of who we are. This image is a reflection on the balance between human ambition and the natural world, a reminder that nature
needs to reclaim it's space.
