WINNER ADULT ART "Last Orders" by Tim

HIGHLY COMMENDED ADULT ART, WINNER PEOPLES CHOICE AND ARTISTS CHOICE
"Under the Surface" by Marc Wilson
This drawing is deeply personal. In late February, I lost my brother suddenly. The upper figure represents the moment the news hit... a sudden, blinding impact that shattered everything. The lower figure reflects what followed: the heavy weeks in bed, the weight in my chest, and the turbulent waters of grief. Our last memory together was at the beach. Sitting with Nathan was always peaceful respite. As we looked out at the water, it felt calm on the surface, but I didn't know what moved underneath.
As a mental health peer worker, living through this sudden loss has been profoundly disorienting. We will always honour his impact on our lives.

WINNER PACKERS PRIZE "Dreaming" by Tammy

"Change of Scenery" by Roger

" An Upside Down Party" by Rose Fitz-Patrick
I went to a cut x paste collage event with a friend at Bootlegger Katoomba. Was a good afternoon and this was my collage. I included Alice in Wonderland looking into the lake. The houses at the front remind me of my collection I find in op shops. The sharks reminded of the ones that were found living in a active volcano.

"Branches in the Blue" by Jennifer Burrell
The bush is wild, and you see what you are open to seeing.

"A Place Where Love Blooms Forever" by Kayla Hellegers
My artwork is inspired by a garden I created. I live with a degenerative, life-shortening condition, and creating this garden has been crucial to my existence. It began as a gift for my parents—a living memorial and a place for reflection. I wanted it to be bright, colourful, and full of life because that’s who I am. The photographs of me in the garden are part of its story. My hope is that the garden continues to be cared for and enjoyed for many years to come by those I have loved, and those who have loved me, to remember, reflect, and to find comfort among the flowers.

" Nurturing my Space" by Ivy Grant
I have been focussing on nurturing my space. I was struggling to find ways to care for myself and remembered how wonderful it felt to create my home in a new rental following a period of homelessness. It gave me the idea of nurturing my space as a way of nurturing myself. This is my favourite chair, a spot to sit in the sun in the morning.

"Leopard" by Coby

"Wildlife" by Serena Holman
This painting was inspired by the possum in my walls. It's loud, but it makes me happy that I have wildlife so close by.

"Alien Lightning" by David Santleben
An approaching storm.

"Me Liddle Mate" by Ralph

"The Creative Sea" by David John Payne
An interpretation of my creative mind sorting scattered ideas into small, drifting worlds.

"Near the Water" by Robert Butler
Robert regularly painted with the Watercolour Institute in Sydney. He painted several streetscapes around the Inner West, but he always loved to be around boats.

"The Bush" by Douggie

"Mermaid Dreaming" by Sabina Horky
Displaying humanity's hopes and dreams of exploring the universe in space ships free from war and hate. The Pink Mermaid from the Pink Planet representing love and spirituality is rescuing the human being who is shown in blue, a colour of resilience and strength to free humanity, from prejudice and hate. In the hope that one day humanity will explore the universe as one in peace and free from competition.

"Magnolia" by Usher

"Mindscape" by Rhonnie Toole
"Mindscape" is an imaginary and symbolic landscape painting from my mind. Imagery of Australian landscapes have been an influence but changed to suit my purpose. Having struggled with mental issues most of my life, I have come to realise how important creativity is for well being. Having hope and peace of mind, peace at home, in the community, nationally and universally is paramount. May hope and peace spring eternally for you and the world.

"Fractals in Nature" by Heather Priest
FRACTALS - Something that is repeated over and over.

"Holding - Before It Goes" by Andrea Huxham
Reaching for structured memory, watercolour enables fragmentation through dispersed pigment. Form, inspired by the mountains, emerges, holds a promise of that form, then begins to give way. It is the panacea to the digital experience.

"The Face of Hope" by Rowena Evers
This is a painting I created when I was unwell. Landscapes are peaceful and give me hope. The duck head is pecking the sickness away and having the moon for hope and peace with the beautiful landscapes of the Blue Mountains and out west where I grew up. The house high up on the mountain is strong and durable. Mother Earth is blowing the moon up high for strength of life on earth for us all.

"Everything's Fiine" by Naomi Droll
Living with anxiety is hard work. Exhausting, in fact. The old trope of the duck appearing serene on the surface of the water whilst paddling furiously underneath is anxiety at its core - although sometimes one can get so exhausted those feathers can start to ruffle and the smooth water ripple and splash. Speaking openly with others does help; instead of insisting "everything’s fiine”, acknowledging the struggle can be a positive step to not feeling so alone.

"Claif's Tree" by Claif
I'm driving in country,
All forlorn.
The sheep’s in the meadow,
The cows in the corn.
The hills far away,
A whispering tree,
I'm dying, I'm dead
"Come talk to me."
On hearing the plea,
I stopped to reply,
“I’ll paint you instead,
To say my goodbye”
On remembering you,
This can be said
You lived life, like a tree,
Until you were dead.
All forlorn.
The sheep’s in the meadow,
The cows in the corn.
The hills far away,
A whispering tree,
I'm dying, I'm dead
"Come talk to me."
On hearing the plea,
I stopped to reply,
“I’ll paint you instead,
To say my goodbye”
On remembering you,
This can be said
You lived life, like a tree,
Until you were dead.
